Radio Station Farm

Description

Productive farmland with excellent abundant surface water resources.  Radio Station Farm is 4.5 miles SE of Dixon, CA and located in RD 2068, arguably the best water district in CA, with a full water allocation of 5.5 ac. ft./acre during the last drought.  The district is backed by the North Delta Water Agency Agreement.   Water rates around $40/acre.  RD 2068 also maintains the drainage canals. Use of the farm is currently dedicated to alfalfa and grass hay crops amplifying the abundant water available from the district.  Soils are uniform Class 2 clays bench leveled to grade into four fields.  The surface water, soils and drainage resources available are all characteristics that are conducive for tree crop development.  This is a nice block of land with A40 zoning and under Williamson Act contract to keep land assessments down upon resale.
